PTE Coaching Overview

PTE is the world’s leading computer-based test for English language proficiency to study abroad and immigration. The PTE test is used to evaluate the communication and English language skills of a non-native speaker. This gives a clear vision to the universities whether a student can clearly understand the course material if entirely taught in English.

PTE offers fast, flexible English testing. Candidates can schedule their test upto 24 hours in advance, and typically receive their results within five business days. PTE offers flexible testing locations.

Version of PTE

PTE has two versions however unlike other English language proficiency tests, PTE Academic consists of a single 3-hour test session which includes three sections: speaking and writing (together), listening and reading. There are 20 different question formats, ranging from MCQ through to essay writing.

PTE-GENERAL

Generally it consists of two sections: writing and speaking. The written test is basically to gauge the listening, reading and writing skills of the candidates. And finally the speaking test is usually used to assess the English language proficiency of the candidate

PTE-ACADEMIC

Basically it tests the candidate’s listening, reading, speaking and writing skills. The candidates need to listen to the questions and then give the answers. The academic section comprise of 20 different questions which are mainly of 3 sections which are in the form of analytical interpretation, multiple choice questions or essay prompts

PTE Academic is accepted by thousands of universities worldwide, including prestigious institutions such as Harvard Business School, INSEAD and Yale. PTE Academic is also accepted for visa purposes by the Australian and New Zealand governments.
